At least in Romania, when the snow starts melting, everybody is in shock and awe about the holes on the street, but then they start covering them and you can drive safely after a few weeks. In Belgium they would then try to find somebody to handle the disaster, which takes about 5 months, ‘cos they discuss it over and over again on TV, and when they finally hire a company, not only is everybody dissatisfied with the choice, but by the time they start covering the holes on the street, the white stuff is back.
